Les plantilles {{Notes laterals inici}}, {{Notes laterals fi}}, {{Nota dreta}} i {{Nota esquerra}} es fan servir per crear text en el què apareixen notes a un costat del mateix.

La plantilla {{Notes laterals inici}} apareix a l'inici de la secció que conté notes laterals.

Note: Non-default values should be used consistently in both the {{Sidenotes begin}} template, and the {{Right sidenote}} and {{Left sidenote}} templates. For example, for a text body width of 25em, and a note width of 15em, with a padding of 2em, you should use the following:

Use of inconsistent values will result in one set of parameters for the body text, and a different set for the sidenotes, which may or may not be desirable.
